Kleinfeld Bridal Expert Tips for Buying a Wedding Dress

I just got engaged. What should I do?

Once you've set a date Trouwjurk Lange Mouw and booked your venue (or at least have an idea of when and where your wedding is), call the bridal salon to book your selection appointment. Don't forget to go online to browse gowns. Save and print your top five so your bridal consultant has an idea of what you like.

You will work with your bridal consultant for about an hour and fifteen minutes. She will consult with you to get a basic understanding of who you are and what your style is. First, she will try to guide you towards a silhouette you love. From there, keep an open mind, try different looks. Be open even if a particular gown does not have "hanger appeal" - our consultants know how the gowns look on a bride.

What should I expect of my consultant?

Kleinfeld consultants are pros, and (they're) trained to listen to your needs and requests and find the right gown for each bride. Everyone makes decisions differently and no one is pressured. Some brides decide on the first day High Low Schoolfeest Jurken out; others need to step away. We welcome both! Keep an open mind, because as I mentioned above, some gowns do not have hanger appeal but look amazing on the Cocktailjurken 2012 body.

What do I need to bring?

Bring photos of gowns you like to give the consultant an idea of the way you want to look on your wedding day. Most bridal salons will have sample shoes and bras for you to use while trying on gowns; however, please wear proper undergarments - you will be changing in front of a bridal consultant you just met!

How many people should I bring?

Bring people you trust and whose taste you respect - I believe less is more. Too many people confuse the bride and (they) often forget whose opinion ultimately matters the most - hers!

How far in advance do I need to find and buy my dress?

Eighteen months is great, one year is ideal and eight months is OK. Six months or less will start to limit the amount of designer (dresses) you will be able to receive in time. Nobody wants to be in a situation where a rush charge adds to the price.
