Avery went to heaven this weekend after a long, courageous battle with cancer. I wanted to post in hopes that for anyone didn't have the honor of knowing her, might be impacted through me.
Even though I only spent a limited time with Avery and her family they have affected my life forever. After I lost my dad a few years ago, my idea of success changed. Life is so short, and true success is about the people lives we touch while we are here. Avery touched more lives in her 5 years than most do in a 100. In the last few days I have hugged my children more, and tighter. I have bitten my tongue more when I wanted to scold them. I praise them more. I say "I love you" more. I have stopped working at home. I am present. I pass this along in hopes that you guys will do the same. When you walk split voor Prom Dresses in your font door this afternoon, think of Avery, and see how it changes you.
